Swift Tech Services is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our business operations and supply chain. We recognize our responsibility to respect and uphold human rights and will not tolerate any form of slavery or servitude within our organization or among our suppliers and contractors. This policy outlines our commitment to combatting modern slavery and sets out the steps we will take to prevent its occurrence.
Scope:
This policy applies to all directors, employees, contractors, and any other individuals representing Swift Tech Services.
Policy:
1. **Definition of Modern Slavery:**
Modern slavery encompasses slavery, forced labor, human trafficking, and servitude. It involves the exploitation of individuals for personal or commercial gain and is a violation of fundamental human rights.
2. **Compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015:**
Swift Tech Services is committed to complying with the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will take appropriate measures to ensure transparency and accountability in our efforts to prevent modern slavery.
3. **Risk Assessment:**
We will conduct regular risk assessments to identify and evaluate the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chain. This includes assessing the risk associated with our suppliers, contractors, and the geographical locations in which we operate.
4. **Supplier and Contractor Due Diligence:**
a. We will require all suppliers and contractors to comply with our standards of ethical conduct, including the prohibition of modern slavery.
b. Prior to engaging with a new supplier or contractor, we will conduct due diligence to assess their compliance with anti-slavery and human trafficking laws and their commitment to ethical business practices.
c. Existing suppliers and contractors will be periodically evaluated to ensure ongoing compliance with our standards.
5. **Employee Awareness and Training:**
We will provide training and awareness programs to ensure all employees understand the risks of modern slavery and their role in preventing its occurrence. This includes training on how to recognize signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns.
6. **Reporting and Whistleblowing:**
Any employee who becomes aware of or suspects modern slavery in any part of our business or supply chain must report it immediately to their line manager, the Compliance Officer, or through the company's whistleblowing procedures. Reports will be investigated promptly and confidentially, and appropriate action will be taken.
7. **Continuous Improvement:**
We are committed to continuously improving our policies, procedures, and practices to prevent modern slavery. This includes regular reviews of this policy and the implementation of any necessary changes to enhance our effectiveness in combatting modern slavery.
Enforcement:
Violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, as well as legal consequences in accordance with applicable laws.
Review:
This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
